Meet Meg
Hi! My name is Meg.
Originally from New England, I’ve called Knightdale, NC home since 2007. I’ve been creating art in one form or another my whole life, but it wasn’t until a friend commissioned a piece with my silly doodles that I felt completely and authentically myself painting.
I primarily paint with latex on canvas, and every piece is completely different (sometimes I even add a little sparkle). My favorite part of the process is painting on the sweet little faces of the characters, and waking up the whimsy!
Most days you can find me swirling and doing 25 things at once. I wouldn’t have it any other way than to be fully living every corner of the life I’ve got!
I’m excited to share my art with you. I hope it spreads some joy!
Question time!
You ask the most thoughtful questions!

Do you have a favorite apron or smock?
Nope, my clothes (all of them) are covered in paint.
What’s your process?
I have no idea. I sort of disassociate when I’m getting started and my body takes over. I’m sure there are studies on the creative process!
Do you get imposter syndrome?
Yes. All the time. I have to work hard to keep believing in myself.
Something more
Where the doodles began.
My Little Free Library, just steps from my art studio, was the spark to my latest art adventure. It’s the first place my silly doodles came to life.
But more so, it’s the place I see children (and adults!) from all over the neighborhood stop to grab a book and leave with a smile. It’s also why I volunteer as the storytime reader at Unhinged Coffee & Co.
If you’re in my little corner of Knightdale, stop by and grab something to read!
Want a library of your own?
Little Free Library has everything you need to start one in your own corner of the world.

Feeling pretty grateful!
I’m incredibly proud and thankful to be a member and exhibiting artist at Artspace NC in downtown Raleigh, and to meet so many lovely artists along the way.

Keep up with new work!
New paintings, the next Zoom In drop, and where you can see my work in person. Only when there’s something fun to share!
